eyeWitness to Atrocities is a tool that capture, authenticate and securely store photos and videos of serious human rights abuses, while maintaining your anonymity. The mobile camera app allows you to to record photos and videos that are embedded with the metadata needed to demonstrate their authenticity to a court. The way a tool transmits and stores the footage creates a chain of custody to allow the photos to be used as evidence in court. In this way, eyeWitness catalogues the footage it receives and compiles it into dossiers for submission to international or national investigators.
