This video presents “Citizen Ex”, a project by James Bridle on Algorithmic Citizenship. Citizen Ex questions the current citizenship framework in the quantified society. The Algorithmic Citizenship is how a person appears on the internet, as a collection of data extending across many nations, with a different citizenship and different rights in every place.
“Citizen Ex” is also available for download as a browser extension (Chrome). When the extension is active it collects data about location of webpages you visit and maps them, so that you can then see your Algorithmic Citizenship and how it changes over time with the websites you visit.
